geosfilm is a family-run film production company from South Tyrol, led by Hubert Schönegger and Matthias Schönegger. For decades, we have stood for authentic, atmospheric, and high-quality filmmaking – from feature films and documentaries to commercial and corporate productions.

Hubert Schönegger has been working as a filmmaker since 1989 and founded geosfilm in 2007. With decades of experience, a strong instinct for storytelling, and a deep connection to landscape and culture, he continues to shape the signature style of our productions to this day.

Matthias Schönegger joined the team in 2017 as a filmmaker, editor, publicist, and director. With a modern visual language, technical expertise, and creative versatility, he is leading geosfilm’s vision into the next generation.

Our Work

We produce films across all formats and genres – from elaborate nature and cultural documentaries to emotional portraits, as well as commercial and social media videos. Many of our productions are created in collaboration with international broadcasters and production companies, including:
