The plot of the film is inseparable from the mountains of the Sesto Dolomites. “Tears of the Sesto Dolomites” is the first and so far only feature-length film production from South Tyrol …<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

 … with a South Tyrolean producer, director, and numerous young acting talents from South and East Tyrol. We were also able to get famous actors like Gedeon Burkhard (Germany,”Kommissar Rex” , “Inglourious Basterds”<\/span>) and Christiane Filangieri (Italy, “Sissi”) for this ambitious project. The young performers such as Thomas Prenn and Jasmine Barbara Mairhofer came from South Tyrol and Florian Sumerauer from East Tyrol. The shooting took place in 2013 on original locations of South Tyrol and East Tyrol. The main challenge was shooting winter scenes in the high mountains.<\/p>\n

It is these recordings contribute significantly to the authenticity of the gripping story.<\/p>\n

Behind the idea of \u200b\u200bmaking a film about the battle at the front in the Dolomites, is much more than another attempt to tell a new war history. My goal is to tell a gripping and exciting Story – a piece of history –  with this film, I hope, to inspire as many viewers, but also to stimulate reflection.<\/p>\n

Language: German, Italian and English with subtitles.<\/p>\n
