South Tyrol, the land in the mountains, impresses with its grand mountain scenery. It has always populated by a rich diversity of wildlife.
Inextricably linked to the fauna is the many thousands of years old culture of hunting. The human in this country has learned not only to hunt wild animals, but also to cherish and maintain in accordance with nature. The focus of this film is the ibex and the wild species of the country from the tree line up to the mountain peaks. The life of these animals is almost kept meticulous throughout the seasons. In addition to this the wildlife the entire context: Human, hunter, landscape are compared. Similarities are demonstrated, differences highlighted and human(hunter) and wildlife observed in the course of the year.
