UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE DOLOMITES – GEOPARC Bletterbach
A Hubert Schönegger film
Millions of years of Earth’s history concentrated in a distance of just eight kilometres. In the southern part of South Tyrol, between the villages Aldein/Aldino and Radein/Redagno, the Bletterbach represents a unique natural monument.
Inch by inch, the water has dug its way into the rocks, reaching a depth of hundreds of metres.
As part of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage site “South Tyrol’s Grand Canyon”, the Bletterbach gorge, offers a breathtaking view of how the Dolomites came into being.
