Nature Parks have been created in order to obtain and to maintain large-scale natural and cultural landscape areas that, due to their uniqueness and beauty are of outstanding importance.
Each of the 7 natural parks in South Tyrol – namely, it is the nature park Schlern, Three Peaks, Texel Group, Rieserferner Ahrn, Puez-Geisler, Fanes-Senes-Prague and Monte Corno – represents a unique landscape with a variety of features and remarkable manifestations. In their entirety, they are a guarantee of maintaining a high quality of living space, which is important for the conservation of animal and plant species, but also increasingly more and more important for the quality of life of locals and guests.
