Hardly any other animal in the Alps is in legend and traditions more important than the Capricorn.
Hubert Schönegger has captured the behavior of the Capricorn and the myths associated with the camera. The mighty horn is always a desired trophy. Owning them, was often associated with boldness and dauntless courage. Since the Capricorn was reintroduced in South Tyrol, the hunt is not the priority, but the king of the mountains is observed and researched through the year. Today it is more important than ever to adapt the wildlife scenic to the cultivation conditions.
